Chris Brown "I Can Transform Ya" (feat. Swizz Beatz & Lil Wayne)

NEW YORK — After several months of relative quiet following his February assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown has re-emerged with a slick new video for his single "I Can Transform Ya," featuring Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz. MTV headed to Times Square to ask fans: Is the video enough to spark a full-fledged comeback?

Kuroma "In New York, Everything Is Tropical"

Green Label Sound announces the official video for their exclusive release "In New York, Everything Is Tropical" by Athens, GA-based band Kuroma.

Kuromas lead man, Hank Sullivant, envisioned the video for In New York, Everything Is Tropical frame for frame and director Adam Neustadter was able to make it a reality. The guerilla style shoot took place all over Brooklyn and Manhattan including locations such as Coney Island, Wall Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Williamsburg, Time Square, Chinatown and the Lower East Side. Sullivant explains, The song and video "In New York, Everything Is Tropical" is not parodic or contradictory or just referential. It is a minor and indifferent accumulation of certain trashed elements of pop and pop video, including pop parody itself. New York is a place of terror and stereotype and commercialism and art, but most importantly it is the place where these things synthesize in the most sublime way.

Director Adam Neustadter gives further insight, Hank was really into the idea of taking familiar elements from pop culture and MTV and turning them on their heads. By referencing a lot of different styles that really shouldn't go together, we created our own crazy aesthetic. From the heavy color treatment, to the stop motion animation, to the silly graphics and somewhat questionable design choices, we were intentionally all over the place with our visual style and had a lot of fun with it. While it might look like we just dropped all of our elements in a Cuisinart and hit blend, we really tried to represent the tempo and structure of the song as much as possible while keeping a cohesive performance going throughout the visual overload. In the end I think the video successfully captures the energy and tone of the song, and I guess of New York City as well.

Holy Ghost! "I Will Come Back"

Green Label Sound, a free exclusive singles label, offers up its latest music video from Holy Ghost! The video features the Green Label Sound single I Will Come Back. True to early 80s New York City-style, the video for I Will Come Back is a remake to seminal British band New Orders Confusion. The mp3 single is available for free download exclusively at Greenlabelsound.com now.

Getting legendary producer Arthur Baker to reprise his role in the video was Holy Ghosts! biggest coup. We were going to have James [Murphy] play the Arthur Baker character, says Nick Millhiser, one half of Holy Ghost!, but one night we were out at a bar and we ran into Baker. Alex told him about the video, and Arthur said, I want to play myself. We couldnt really say no! Also appearing in the video are Nancy Whang of The Juan Maclean and LCD Soundsystem as well as Drop The Lime.

Holy Ghost! features electro magicians Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel. The critically-heralded DJ and production duo are also known for their 2007 club hit Hold On as well as remixes for Moby, MGMT, Cut Copy and Phoenix. I Will Come Back is their first original song release in two years. Protégées of DFA Records James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Millhiser and Frankel bring their melodic, throwback style and love for old-school synthesizers to their infectious sound for Green Label Sound.

Green Label Sound, supported by Mountain Dew, is a music label designed to showcase and empower independent artists. To date, GLS has released singles and videos from Matt and Kim, The Cool Kids, Flosstradamus and Kuroma.
